Vandring
The Perelsplatz is located in the Berlin district of Friedenau in the Schöneberg district and is an elongated park. The square has been named after Friedrich Justus Perels since 1961.
Perelsplatz was called Berliner Platz from 1873 to 1884, then Maybachplatz until 1961.

Vandring
The former 'Gymnasium Friedenau' is located on Perelsplatz in Berlin's Friedenau district and was built from 1901-1903. It is the oldest educational institution in Friedenau and is a listed building.
On the side facing Perelsplatz there is a plaque commemorating Friedrich Justus Perels, who was a student here.
The stele in the northern front garden shows the relief portrait of Martin Luther with the verse "A strong castle is our God" and on the back the portrait of Otto von Bismarck with his motto "In Trinitate Robur" ("In the Trinity lies the power").
