This boat is the symbol of the full tourist development of Nerja. He is the protagonist of the television series “Verano Azul”, which the filmmaker Antonio Mercero made in Nerja at the beginning of 1980.

One of the obligatory tourist photos of Nerja. Sightseeing in Nerja always means a stop at La Dorada, the Verano Azul boat. 36 years after it was issued, Chanquete's boat is one of the most photographed monuments by visitors to the Costa del Sol.
