The Buksnes church is a wooden building from 1905. Already in 1324 stood at this place a church, it was destroyed by a storm. Even subsequent buildings fell victim to the storm or fires. The current church can accommodate 600 people, it is built in Dragestyle, which is characterized by motifs such as dragon heads, snakes and other mystical figures. Such carvings can be found inside the beams and wooden posts. The front of the facade reminds of a stave church.
