A beautiful church, it gets a bit hectic if you want to visit the cathedral and the church. opening identical. You can tell Güstrow used to be a rich and important city

Cykling

This large Gothic brick church stands on the market square in Güstrow. It was built at the beginning of the 14th century. The church was severely damaged in a major fire in the city in 1503, but was rebuilt by 1508. In 1534 the church became Protestant. In 1765 the originally pyramid-shaped roof of the tower was replaced by the baroque dome that still exists today. In the 19th century, it was converted into a hall church and the south aisle was extended, which received its own gabled roof.
