Mozart House, Linz
The Mozarthaus is a Renaissance house in the old town of Linz. It was built in the second half of the 16th century and the exterior facade was redesigned during the Baroque period.
The planner of the Pöstlingbergbahn, Josef Urbanski, lived in this building from 1893 to 1895.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart resided in this house at the beginning of November 1783 as a guest of the Count of Thun. During this time he composed the Linz Symphony in just three days.

Like so many buildings in Linz, this one has a special history. Mozart composed the Linz Symphony here within 3 days. The house is directly opposite the Minorite Church.
