Of course, peat cutting is problematic, but the Irish burn peat instead of firewood, that's traditional. In any case, the landscape is very interesting, you can see the mining edge and the peat briquettes that are stacked to dry. And you can see the before and after, the heath is changing, nature is taking a lot back. Ecologically, peat extraction is of course very disadvantageous. In the corner, however, you can do an extensive circular hike that goes much further than the recorded track. Unfortunately, we had injured knees and could not walk any longer.
