The first section of the Bezau cable car (Sonderdachbahn I) was opened in 1955. This led from Bezau to the hamlet of Sonderdach (see also Toni Innauer's childhood home). In 1960 the second section (Sonderdachbahn II) was opened from the hamlet of Sonderdach to the Baumgartnerhöhe. Both sections were designed as cable cars.

The modern cable car runs from Bezau to the Sonderdach and to the Baumgarten mountain station. There is the panorama restaurant with a panoramic terrace.
Hikers, paragliders and anyone who wants to enjoy a beautiful view can take the Bezau cable car up the mountain. You can get off at the Sonderdach middle station. The second train stage leads up to the Baumgarten mountain station. Right next to it is the modern panorama restaurant with terrace.
