"The construction of the St.-Jan parking garage on Hekellaan gave archaeologists the opportunity to research the history of 's-Hertogenbosch at that location. The parking garage is located in an area of the city that shows visible traces of the history of the fortified city of 's-Hertogenbosch.

In 1997, the Building Historical and Archaeological Service conducted a preliminary investigation at the city wall and the Judas Tower along Hekellaan and the Vonk en Vlamterrein. The 14th-century city wall (hidden behind a 19th-century clamp) is still prominent here.

What a beautiful entrance to Den Bosch this is from the parking garage. That is only entering, through a 'hole' in the city wall.

The Judas Tower with its thick walls was originally a wall tower that was transformed into a roundel in the 16th century. In the 19th century it was converted into a powder magazine. The earliest parts in this tower date back to the 14th century. Nowadays, the entrance to the St.-Jan parking garage runs here.
