The trail up until this viewing point is very nice. The landscape is really beautiful. If you want to go down to Lake Galcescu, the path is very steep and there are plenty of small rocks that are slippery. Because it was about to rain when I was there, I decided not to go on that path, as it looked a bit dangerous for wet conditions especially. I'm sure it's worth going down to the lakes, but make sure the weather is good and you have proper hiking gear.

Vandring

The lakes are definitely worth a visit. We had nice weather and the descent / ascent went without any problems. It takes about 50 minutes from the sign to Gălcescu Lake. Before Lake Gălcescu, Lacul Vidal is on the left and Lacul Pencu on the right.

Great view of the beautiful mountain lake Calcescu.
Definitely worth a hike.
Pack enough drinks in as there are no places to stop for a break on the way there.
