Vandring
After a fire in 1779, the building was rebuilt and initially used as a doctor's office, later as a pharmacy. In 1826, the pharmacist Jacob Meyer received a royal privilege; several renovations followed, most notably the 1902 renovation with Weser Baroque gables and a columned balcony. After nearly 200 years as a pharmacy, the building was acquired by the municipality in 1979 and now houses the municipal library and the adult education center.

In the "Alte Apotheke" cultural center, over 10,000 books and media are available, inviting you to read, listen, and experience, both online and offline.
The book collection offers a rich selection for all ages and interests.
There is also a large selection of audiobooks.
The library is wheelchair and stroller accessible. The barrier-free entrance is located in the Apothecary Garden behind the building.
Comfortable seating creates a pleasant atmosphere for browsing.
