Here you can experience the history of Lofoten fishing on one of the best preserved fishing village manors in Lofoten.
At the bottom of the medieval town of Vågar is the stately main building from 1815, authentic fishermen's cabins and boathouses with Nordland boats. The museum displays clay-slide shows about the Lofoten fisheries as well as harbor docks and lighthouses along the Norwegian coast, traditional crafts and a pretty garden with historic shrubs.
