Faunia is a wide thematic and natural space with more than 1,200 animals of 152 different species, divided along the recreation of 4 ecosystems and 15 thematic areas adapted to each species, with its own habitat, temperature, light conditions and humidity. The park has an area of 14 hectares with a topography enhanced by lakes and ponds.

Vandring
Faunia is a botanical garden and zoological park, with an area of about 14 hectares, located in the district of Vicálvaro, Madrid (Spain). It is organized into areas that represent different ecosystems such as the jungle, the poles or the African forest. It is owned by Parques Reunidos, SA.
It was inaugurated on July 10, 2001 under the name Parque Biológico de Madrid. In 2002 the park was renamed Faunia, a name created by the philologist and writer Fernando Beltrán.5 The author of the project is Ricardo Novaro Bocco.
