Here, on the so-called Wallberg, a Slavic castle was built in 1219 and expanded into a protective castle in 1230/31.
Up to four ramparts surrounded the castle on this 50m high hill.
Only the ramparts remain of the castle, which was demolished in the 17th century after it had fallen into disrepair. The whereabouts of the stones are unknown.
On the hill is now the so-called Thingplatz, a fairground.
