Domein De Inslag is a forest and nature reserve in the municipality of Brasschaat. The area is owned by the Flemish Community and is managed by the Agency for Nature and Forests. De Inslag is 149 hectares in size and consists mainly of deciduous and coniferous forests, some meadows and small heath remnants. The area is also crossed by the Antitankgracht.

Inslach' means exploitation. The name already reveals that De Inslag (165 ha) has not always been forest. The heathland was reclaimed as arable and pasture land. With the construction of a castle domain in the 19th century, the area was wooded until a lavish hunting decor emerged. During the World Wars it was an open battlefield. After the last war, there was a strong focus on wood production. Now the Agency for Nature and Forests carries out extensive nature management there, which benefits biodiversity. As a walker and cyclist you can now also fully enjoy nature.
