A grumpy looking gawker with his mouth wide open has been given a great honor: the drinking fountain is dedicated to the »Aschebercher Maulaff«. The stone stele decorated with a hat, coat and stick has found its place on the palace square in front of the tourist information. This fountain, weighing 600 kilograms, is intended to invite thirsty passers-by to help themselves with fresh water from the second stele set up next to it. 😊

The "Ascheberscher Maulaff" is a legendary figure from Aschaffenburg – a grumpy-looking onlooker with his mouth wide open.

The fountain figure depicts him with a hat, coat, and cane, as a stone stele on the Schlossplatz, directly in front of the tourist information office.
