Vandring
In 1585 it was elected as the residence of a Venetian captain, a certain Paolo Loredan who transformed it into a villa.
Captain Loredan had the task of completing in 1588, with the bulwark of the Fara, the new walled city walls of Bergamo: from his home he could thus follow the latest operations on sight.

Vandring
The castle, which is located on the slopes that frame the Venetian walls, is considered one of the most beautiful places in the hills of Bergamo, with a splendid view of the Upper Town.
The large park is rich in numerous essences and also has a part with an Italian garden.
