The adventure hike in the "Children's Forest" is about two kilometers long and gives parents and children a creative experience and games in nature. The families begin their journey of discovery at the elementary school in Zell am Pettenfirst and hike up the adventure trail on Pettenfirst together.

There parents and children get to know the nature and history of the mountain by seeing, touching and also smelling at a wide variety of stations. The "Children's Forest" adventure trail has three goals: family-friendly, child-friendly and educational. On the one hand, children can experience peace and quiet here, improve their ability to concentrate and sharpen their senses through observation. The sensitive nature experiences are important for the future interaction of the children with their environment.
