The Rettenbachklamm in Graz is a beautiful destination for those looking for relaxation and hikers. A special feature is the unique naturalness of the Rettenbachklamm with its small waterfalls. So-called diabase often appear on these surfaces. Diabase are very old, transformed, volcanic rocks that stand out due to their green color. The rocks also contain iron ores that were mined in the gorge a long time ago.

Vandring

Since the Rettenbachklamm always stays pleasantly cool, it is particularly recommended on hot days. Especially after rain, caution is advised because of the risk of slipping, often even the next day. Despite the proximity to the city, the short climb should not be underestimated and hiking shoes are a must. If you keep your eyes open, you can discover many small wonders that will also bring a lot of joy to children.
