About 4 km from the town of Sant'Angelo a Fasanella, in the heart of the Alburni mountain range, it is possible to admire at 1125 m a.s.l. (Cima Costa Palomba), an ancient rock sculpture depicting a warrior carved into the rock, known by the name of Antece (in local jargon, ancient or immovable).

On the summit of Costa Palomba there are remains dating back to more than 2000 years ago. According to scholars, the large sculpture is a funerary monument to celebrate a warrior hero, but there is also a basin used as a sacrificial altar and the remains of fortification walls.
