South of Breisach stretches the Rheinaue with the Rheinwald, where the little river Möhlin exchanges its water with the old arms of the Rhine in numerous branches and the animal and plant world has a special retreat. A circular hiking trail leads south from Breisach in the direction of Gündlinger Baggersee through the wild and romantic landscape of the Rheinaue, marked by a red diamond.
