On my search for "Hirsch" "Hemm" and "1961" I found a beautifully designed pdf by Wolfgang Mildner about stones in the Palatinate Forest with "340 pages".
Thanks for the great collection to Wolfgang Mildner and to the Naturefriends Lambrecht for the publication!!!
On page 116 you can find the deer, but unfortunately nothing about the artist either.

Hidden location in the natural forest reserve "Headwaters of the Wieslauter". Just a mystical place. Located on a plateau and only accessible via a beaten path. Also sought out by sows and boars for suckling.
