Peterborough Cathedral is a striking place of worship in the heart of the city. Building work commenced in 1118 after a fire destroyed the previous church on the site. The cathedral is well-known for its imposing Early English Gothic west façade. Composed of three enormous arches, it is architecturally unrivalled. The Grade I-listed structure is also known as the Cathedral Church of St Peter, St Paul and St Andrew.

The grounds of Peterborough Cathedral, are known as the Minster Precinct. Originally a monastic site, the area features gardens, historical buildings, and paths that lead to the stunning Norman cathedral.
