Kaiser Wilhelm I visited the Kaiserbad zu Rosenheim nine times. Today only the entrance portal with a clearly legible inscription reminds us of the place where the emperor used to bathe.

In 1700, councilor Wolff Jakob Ruedorffer had the spring captured and channeled into his house, which was located near Loreto. Very soon the property became a spa. In 1889, the "Kaiserbad" was elevated to the status of a "first-class spa and water facility", in which the Kneipp method was primarily used.
Its use as a military hospital during the First World War and a fire in 1917 marked the beginning of the bath's decline. In 1960, the OVB reported on the conditions in the building, which had now become a shelter for the poor, which made renovation urgently necessary.
