Vandring

Looks pretty unspectacular from the outside but inside it's wonderful to look at. The construction period was from 1745 - 1750.

Vandring

In 1738, Elector Carl Philipp granted the Heidelberg Augustinian Order permission to build a hospice with a monastery and church in Wiesloch. The construction of the church lasted from 1745 to 1750.

In 1803, the monastery was secularized and the Catholic community acquired the Augustinian church. Like the former town church, it is dedicated to Saint Lawrence and has very lavish late baroque furnishings. The high altar was created by Johann Anwander.
