    Johann Matthias Sperger was the most important double bass player of the Viennese Classic, he was a musician at the Ludwigslust court orchestra from 1789 until his death in 1812 and left behind an extremely rich compositional legacy. Today, Sperger's name stands for inventiveness, creativity, virtuosity, diversity in dealing with music, creativity and commitment. He stands for the traditional and at the same time for the modern in music. The music school of the Ludwigslust-Parchim district is committed to this.
