The building was constructed in 1706 on a significantly older foundation as the residence of a cooper. After the demolition of the original town hall, which stood on the church square, this building was purchased by the municipality in 1794. Since then, it has served as the town hall. The house stands on two main axes and features two floor-to-ceiling diamond-shaped panels as decorative elements on the north gable of the first floor.

The old town hall in Roßwag was built in 1706 as a cooper's house. The foundation walls are significantly older. In 1794 the building was bought by the municipality and fitted with a roof turret with a bell (no longer in existence today).
Today it is a branch of the city administration of Vaihingen.
