The Sanctuary of the Madonna di Prada (from the dialect, "of the meadows") is located outside the town of Mapello, a locality on the Bergamo island, an area bounded by the Brembo and Adda rivers.
The sanctuary is immersed in the vast plain on the eastern slopes of Monte Canto, still surrounded by a natural setting with a high landscape value.
The Marian sanctuary of Prada is introduced by a suggestive tree-lined avenue 500 meters long.

The Sanctuary of the Madonna di Prada is located in a peripheral area of the municipality of Mapello and took this name from the dialectal form "Madonna dei Prati". This area is called "Isola" because it is bordered between the Brembo and Adda rivers and is immersed in the vast plain on the eastern slopes of Mount Canto.
The Marian sanctuary of Prada is preceded by a long and suggestive tree-lined avenue. The interior is decorated with frescoes, painted in 1956 by the Mapellese painter Natale Bertuletti
