The Luther monument is right next to the town church. Right next to it is the converted church of Heuersdorf in 2007.

Vandring

It is the first Luther monument of the present day, created by the sculptor Hilko Schomerus from Hanover. It was inaugurated on October 16, 2011.

Luther is portrayed as a reformer and as a person who has freed himself from binding constraints and emerges into the light of the freedom of a Christian.
