Vandring

Wooden cross, half hidden by vegetation, in a dominant position over the plain. This stretch, cleaned in 2021 by volunteers and local associations, is part of the easy "Ring of Crosses" itinerary. Since 2020, thanks to the contribution of Visit Follina and the Artiglieri group, it has been equipped with an LED lighting system which makes it visible throughout the municipal territory.

UPDATES: in March 2023 the old wooden cross, now deteriorated, was replaced with a corten steel one made by Valentino Moro, an artist from Miane. Same fate also for the nearby Croce di Valmareno.

At this small sacred monument, I would like to invite those who pause before the cross to reflect on a very brief thought expressed by the Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, on Ash Wednesday of this year:

"It is about God's plan, which has one goal: to unite all creatures through the reconciliation work of Jesus Christ, a work accomplished in his death on the cross."
