Meerdijk Nieuwkuijk border post 1785.
On the Meerdijk at the end of the Badweg, there is a hard stone boundary post from 1785.
The coat of arms and the name of Heusden adorned with a crown, as well as the year 1785, appear on this boundary marker.
It stands exactly at the place where the border used to be between the Land of Heusden and the county, the later region of Holland and the Duchy of Brabant, the later Generality Land. This place was also the border of Nieuwkuijk, which was Brabant and Vlijmen, which was Dutch territory.
