    The National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden is the newest add on to the National Gallery of Art in Washington. It is 6 acres with manmade art and a natural peace. Hours are 10am-5pm daily, and admission is free.

    Even if it may sound mundane, why are the beautiful sculptures in the garden actually (still) so beautiful? These are quite filigree structures, which are fully exposed to the weather and the environment, and yet I haven't seen any weather damage or (unwanted) rust for years.
