The Kroatenloch, also comes from the old mining around Schöneck, but why the name, I could not find out yet. After some research, I can offer the explanation for the name. The Croats Hole, was a ventilation shaft of the old Erzbergbaues. There was a betrayal of Croats in the Schönecker area, when the Schönecker decided to lead the Croats to the shaft, which was meanwhile collapsed and much lower than today, could simply crash the Croats
