Vandring

This sandstone altar can be found in a little-used ravine between sandstone blocks: it depicts the flight of the Holy Family to Egypt. A picture of St. Joseph with the donkey, on which Mary is sitting with the baby Jesus in her arms, is carved into a flat niche measuring over 2 x 1.5 m; the whole picture is surrounded by angel heads. This relief was probably also created by Franz Schier, of whom the statues and reliefs on the Calvary near Mařenice are. Source: luzicke-hory.cz/mista/index.php?pg=zmtridd
