"... The Lochbach, a "watercourse of the second order", originates from several sources at the court of Obenscheidt in Solingen-Gräfrath. One source was in a well surrounded by the former Quellenhof near Schlagbaumer Straße. In the past (according to Lunkenheimer around 1780) the stream was named Lobach, Lohbach and Laubach in the upper reaches and Brosbach and Brobach in the lower reaches.
The Lochbach then flows piped to the Dültgenstal. The Demmeltratherbach comes from the north and flows into the Lochbach at the Lauterjungskotten, later the screen furniture factory Gebr. Dültgen.
