Hytten ligger i ca. 1500 meters højde, blev bygget i 1931 og ligger i Kasberg skisportsområde. Den er tilgængelig for turens skiløbere i skisportsområdets åbningstid og om aftenen indtil kl. 22 på torsdage og bestemte fuldmånedage. Udgangspunktet er dalstationen for Kasbergliften eller ved sportpladsen i Grünau. Der skal beregnes ca. 950 højdemeter til opstigningen.
