Vandring
The so-called Big Tower, a former defensive tower, built around the middle of the 13th century, also belongs to the city fortifications. The tower points to the northwest and here, too, a town gate once led into the town, which can now only be seen in the courtyard of the Augustinian monastery. It is also known that the thick tower was used as a so-called "hole prison" in the 16th century. Several rooms that were used as cells are still visible inside. The local prison guard was therefore also known colloquially as the "Lochwirt".
