The castle is a simple, well-proportioned two-story building with a hipped roof and a large courtyard portal with late Baroque frame architecture. It has been in family ownership for over 120 years and is a protected cultural monument.

Vandring

Ittlingen Castle was built in 1577 by the Lords of Gemmingen as the mansion of the building yard. It is still surrounded by old farm buildings. As the baroque palace is privately owned, it cannot be visited.
On the street, however, there is a large vaulted cellar gate with the year of construction (1577) and the coat of arms of the three noble houses that owned the castle. The coat of arms of the lords of Gemmingen, the Landschad von Steinach and the lords of Mentzingen can be found here.

Cykling

The basement with barrel-vaulted cellar and cellar portal is still preserved from a previous building, the manor house of the Bauhof built in 1577 by the Freiherren von Gemmingen.
