Wiertz Distillery in Sint-Pieters-Voeren is a small, artisanal syrup factory where apple and pear syrup has been made traditionally since the 1940s. The company is run by Eugène Wiertz and Lieve Robijns, who have taken over the trade from previous generations. Production is still based on the old recipe, without additives, and is a beautiful example of living Voeren heritage. Located at the Commanderieshof, near the historic Commanderie, the distillery combines traditional craftsmanship with the daily work on their dairy farm—precisely that blend of tradition and simplicity that makes the place so unique.

Vandring

In the shadow of the towers of castle 'De Commanderie' in Sint-Pieters-Voeren, syrup is distilled every year from the beginning of September to the end of January. This has been done in a completely traditional way since 1940 in the nearby barn.
