The church tower houses a bell that is dated 1452. It is also noteworthy that there was once a town around the church. However, this place was most likely completely destroyed in a once-in-a-century storm or in the religious wars of the 16th century. The pilgrimage church stands on the Heiligenberg north of Hautzendorf in Kreuttal on a wooded pointed hill. One of the oldest churches in Lower Austria, first documented in 1178.
The current building dates from the end of the 17th century, the tower still from the Gothic.
Very steep but short climb.
