✝️ Field Cross near Schwerdorff (Moselle)
This beautifully framed field cross stands free on a hill near Schwerdorff, framed by two striking trees and offering a sweeping view of the rolling hills of Lorraine.
The base bears an inscription with a date – many such crosses were erected in the 19th century as symbols of faith or in commemoration of special events.
Tip: If you're hiking in the area, be sure to pause here for a moment. Especially in the evening light, the cross offers a tranquil, almost meditative atmosphere with a view of the expanse of the Moselle region.
