Vandring
The sculptor Boniface Stirnberg from Aachen was commissioned with the implementation of a boys play fountain as a monument to this Würselen tradition. The individual fountain figures represent the following persons of the May manifestation: the flag-waver; the May Queen with May King, as well as her maid and servant; the wheel-beating flatbed boy, the flatbed master and of course the maypole should not be missing.

Vandring
The boys' games, which originate from a May tradition, were first mentioned in documents in 1620. The tradition has only been interrupted by the First and Second World Wars.
The first post-war games took place in Scherberg in 1946 and all other districts of Würselen followed suit just one year later.
The boys' games fountain, which was created and inaugurated by the Aachen sculptor Bonifatius Stirnberg, has stood on the lower Morlaixplatz since 1991 and shows the core figures of the still very lively tradition.
