On October 13, 1908, the Royal Consistory of the Province of Brandenburg set the opening of the churchyard for April 1, 1909 - of course the chapel should also be put into operation on this date.
Its builder, the building inspector Gustav Werner, modeled it on the Norwegian stave churches, from which it differs significantly. In contrast to the Nordic chapels, the cemetery chapel was not built in vertical stick construction, but in horizontal block construction.

I didn't expect to be able to ride a bike in the cemetery, but early in the morning it's not a problem. The cemetery is so big that you almost need a bike to explore.
