Dunbar Castle was one of the strongest fortresses in Scotland and has been occupied as a defensive position ever since the 7th century. These days, you cannot get too close to the ruins but they still make for an impressive sight.

Loads of nesting kittiwakes in the ruin of the castle walls during the summer. Also nice to watch the fishermen going to and fro out the harbour.
