Justification of the coat of arms: The coat of arms of Georgensgmünd represents three characteristic elements of the community on a silver background. The wave göpel in the middle symbolizes the confluence of the Franconian and Swabian Rezat. The Balkenkreuz indicates the cross of Saint George, to whom the church in Georgensgmünd is consecrated. The two hops standing on top of each other indicate the importance of the place as one of the main areas in Franconian hop cultivation.
