The Evangelical Lutheran town church of St. Bartholomew is located at the Viehmarkt in Ummerstadt, a small town in the Hildburghausen district (Thuringia). The listed building in its current form dates back to 1748. The cattle market is therefore worth a visit.

In addition to the sloping market square with its town hall, chaplain's office, market fountain and numerous half-timbered houses, the Viehmarkt is the second large square in Ummerstadt. It is located directly in front of the church and is not affected by through traffic. An ideal place for the festivals taking place in Ummerstadt. Newly opened, you can visit the Bürgercafé here. On Saturdays and Sundays it is open from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The cattle market is also surrounded by half-timbered houses, a closed half-timbered ensemble worth seeing.

In beautiful late summer weather, hundreds of residents and numerous guests were drawn to the Ummerstadt cattle market. The reason was the community festival organized by the community foundation to mark the double anniversary. Since the “Ummerstadt fanfare procession” is not its own
The club is more than that, but the 60 years of its existence were definitely worth celebrating, the event was embedded in the community festival on the occasion of the community foundation's fifth birthday...
