Moor Park House is a grade II listed building built in 1630. Jonathon Swift was employed here as a secretary and in Victorian times the house was used as a hydrotherapy centre, welcoming Charles Darwin as one of its guests. In the 1890s, the owner at the time chained up the lodge gates to keep out the public. This resulted in the "Battle of Moor Park", in which a crowd of 500 or more local people forced the gates open.

There is no public entry to the house, but the public footpath runs the length of the grounds.
