One of the most beautiful remnants of the IGS2013: This Rosarium contains mostly English park roses and old Persian varieties, which are grown for consumption and for scented oils.

The IBA site is like a metaphor for the lack of affordable housing. Some of the IBA project houses are very innovative when it comes to construction technology and energy efficiency. However, inexpensive and practical solutions for the masses are never an issue.
It was a different story from almost 100 years ago when the Bauhaus-Archtektur set the standard for low-cost mass production, which in itself was oriented towards the needs of normal people. Perhaps that's why many Bauhaus still feel so modern and revolutionary today.

A nice remnant from the IGA 2013. Here grow rhododendrons and azaleas in different colors and shapes.
Before the exhibition here was a small graveyard of railwaymen. The graves were reburied to Finkenriek, most of the trees were preserved.
