It is one of the most representative mills of Ripoll. It is located on the right bank of the Ripoll River and is very damaged.

Located next to the Ripoll river, the old Torrella mill is one of the most representative in the area. It is believed that it was built in the middle of the 18th century and today it can only be seen from the outside, as it is in ruins.

The Torrella mill is a mill listed as a monument in the municipality of Sabadell (Barcelona) included in the Inventory of Architectural Heritage of Catalonia. Since 2001 it is municipal property. It is one of the largest and most emblematic mills on the entire Ripoll river.
