Vandring

The castros were fortified enclosures, surrounded by moats and walls. Inside, the stone dwellings, with a circular floor plan and thatched roofs, were distributed in neighbourhoods, separated by streets and squares. Other longer buildings functioned as meeting or worship spaces, and some towns even had steam baths. The Castro de Santa Tecla, in the Galician town of A Guarda (Pontevedra), is a representative example, but there is more.

Incredibly beautiful to look at, especially due to its location on the mountain with sea views. A few of the houses show how people used to live there.
