The Sint-Joriskerk is a three-aisled hall church in Amersfoort, located at the court. In 1337 St. George's Church was raised to the status of a collegiate church and it is likely that the church was already in the form of a cross; a so-called cross church. At the beginning of the 15th century, probably due to a lack of space, a major conversion to a hall church began, with the tower eventually becoming part of the church.
